So, you're thinking about being a Boy Scout?  Awesome!  It's sure easy to get started!   There are 3 ways you may be joining our troop: You may be completing your Webelos program You may be transferring from another troop You may be starting your scouting career So, which one are you? If you just moved to town, just finished Cub Scouts, or just got interested in Scouting, we've got a spot open in our circle just for you!

Boys are always welcome to visit Troop 479 at our troop meetings.  Bring a parent and stop by St. Andrew Lutheran Church at 7:00pm on the 2nd or 4th Monday of any month.  Look for anyone in a uniform and just say you're checking things out.

Boy Scouts is fun for boys 11 to 18 years old.  We're always ready to have another boy join our gang and join the fun.  You don't have to be a Cub Scout first and you can join at any time of the year. When you join, you'll become part of a patrol with other boys your own age.  Take a look at our Troop Calendar to see the exciting things we do, like kayaking, caving, shooting, and backpacking!

If you are a Webelos scout, you are welcome to visit any of our troop meetings. You should also mark your calendar for October 26th, 2013 - that's when we're hosting the Annual Scout-o-rama at Staring Lake just for Webelos.  It's a great time to try your hand at Scouting skills, meet the scouts from Eden Prairie troops, and have some great fun outside.  Every Webelos scout that participates gets a cool patch - there's a different patch for 4th grade and 5th grade Webelos so you can come two years.
